Panzura was co-founded and funded by a team of engineers and venture capitalists with over ten years of working experience and success together. Before Panzura, they developed the core security and performance technology at wireless networking leader Aruba Networks, and the application delivery technology in Alteon WebSystem’s Layer 4-7 switching products. Alteon was acquired by Nortel for $7.8B and Aruba was acquired by HP for $3B.

With more than two decades of industry experience, Harr joins the company after holding positions as vice president and general manager at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), vice president at VMWare as well as a go-to-market leader and CEO of multiple start-ups, including cloud storage pioneer Nirvanix which he founded, Preventsys which was acquired by McAfee and storage networking leader Sanera which was acquired by McDATA/Brocade. While at HPE, Harr scaled the Americas cloud business 19X leveraging key GTM partners and generated over $1.5B in revenue in five years. He has extensive startup and Fortune 500 vendor experience across cloud, storage, security and networking. Harr received his MBA from the University of Maryland and a BA from Tulane University in Political Economy and Russian. He has four kids and lives with his wife and family in Los Gatos, CA.


John Taylor

John built his career in software development and engineering management in the computer and networking security industries. His work is the foundation behind leading ATM switching, web acceleration, and Wi-Fi products. John has a reputation for growing start-ups into publicly traded companies. Before co-founding Panzura, John was a member of the founding software team at Aruba Networks, where he served as Director of Engineering. Prior to Aruba Networks, John was a lead software architect and engineer at Alteon WebSystems, playing an instrumental role in the creation of the load-balancing market. At FORE Systems, John was a software engineer before the company began trading publicly in 1994. John completed his master’s degree in computer science at the University of Virginia.

Steve Morgan has over 25 years of experience as a senior financial executive responsible for managing all aspects of finance, legal, and human resources for private and public companies. Steve has built businesses from the ground-up, as well as joined existing companies helping them scale to the next level. Before joining Panzura, Steve was CFO at Cyphort, Inc, a cyber security venture backed startup culminating in a successful exit with Juniper Networks. Prior to Cyphort, Steve served as CFO for four companies (Edgewater Networks, Fanfare, RouteScience Technologies, and Atmosphere Networks, Inc.) successfully raising over $100 million in equity and debt from top-tier investors while establishing strong financial infrastructures and helping grow revenue. Prior to Atmosphere, Steve held a number of finance positions at Whitetree, Inc., Integrated Process Equipment Corporation (IPEC), and KPMG. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Andrew has been driving product architecture for over 20 years in computer networking, security, and storage. Before joining Panzura, Andrew held architectural and engineering roles at Ruckus Wireless and Elemental Security developing wireless mesh technologies and network security systems. Prior to that, he co-founded and held the Chief Architect role at Candlestick Networks developing 10 Gbps load balancing products. Before Candlestick, Andrew was a lead developer at Alteon WebSystems, bringing the industries first 1 Gbps ethernet networking equipment to the market. Andrew holds a BS in Computer Engineering from UC Santa Cruz and has co-authored 17 patents.

Jason McKinney comes to Panzura from CloudGenera, a Decision Engine Platform for the enterprise helping customers select and define policies for intelligent workload placement populating the Enterprise Hybrid IT BluePrint thru the SasS Platform. Jason co-founded CloudGenera and was the CRO handling SasS strategy, sales execution, and marketing for OEM’s, SI’s, Distributor’s, and VARMSP’s. Prior to that, Jason was at driving the Concurforce offerings for Social Travel and Expenses on the Platform. Jason has held leadership roles at Openwave, Phoenix Technologies, and VMWare driving the CIO Strategy for IT Transformation and Virtualization with large logos and System Integrators and Outsourcers like HPES, Dell Perot Systems, ACS Xerox, and Accenture. Jason received a Bachelors in Arts and Sciences degree from Kalamazoo College.

He was nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and recognized by Discover Magazine with their Innovator award. Geoff holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a BA from Tulane University, and is a patent-holder in satellite communications. He resides in Austin, TX with his wife and two children.

A proven executive and entrepreneur, Andy has extensive experience in leadership roles with technology companies. Prior to Panzura, Andy held senior positions with a number of large storage vendors including NetApp and EMC and co-founded D2Data where he led the M&A with Sword Pragma in 2009.

At Panzura, Andy continues to use his extensive experience in the software and data management solutions markets to accelerate the company’s growth and expansion across EMEA.

Andy served for 6 years in the British Army and holds an HND in Business and Computing.

Paul Zhang is responsible for Engineering at Panzura. Paul comes to Panzura from Atlantis Computing where he was the Vice President of Product. Prior to Atlantis, Paul was the Sr. Director at Symantec in the Storage Availability and Management group, driving cross-functional collaborations for five major releases of Symantec Filestore. Paul previously ran engineering at Vormetric, served as Security Group Software Development Manager for NetScreen Technologies, and has held engineering management positions at First Virtual Corporation, Diamond Multimedia, Aspect Communications, FutureTel Systems and Connective Strategies. Paul holds an MS in Computer Science from the Computer Technology Institute of the Chinese Academy of Science and a BS in Computer Science from Chang-sha Engineering College and has co-authored 15 granted patents in the areas of security, file system and clustering, and virtualization.

Prior to Panzura, she led Customer Support at Violin Memory, where she was responsible for worldwide technical support and developed the infrastructure for global support operations and tools. She also served as VP of Support at ONStor and in senior roles at NetApp and KLA-Tencor. Caeli holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Brian currently leads the Panzura worldwide solution architects team. With a customer-first focus, he is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan for the technical success of all of Panzura’s multi-cloud data management solutions and deployments.

Brian has more than two decades of experience in the storage industry starting in 1997 when his first startup, Internet MiddleWare Corporation, a small internet caching company, was acquired by NetApp. Brian was with NetApp for 13 years, participating in many different roles from a coding engineer, to worldwide senior content distribution architect to leading the technical channel efforts of the western half of the United States. In 2010, after leaving NetApp to pursue his next challenge, Brian joined Panzura as their first field-facing employee. While at Panzura Brian has not only participated in the individual success of direct customer opportunities but also works closely with product and engineering teams to shape the direction of the solutions and the company with a goal of customer success, simplicity, and modernization.

Prior to Internet MiddleWare Corp, Brian worked for Microsoft as an engineer on the Visual Basic team developing and bringing to market the scripting engine that is still used by most of the Microsoft applications and services today.

Brian attended USC studying Computer Engineering/Computer Science, he currently lives in Orange County, California with his wife and three daughters and when not at work can be found enjoying the outdoors either wakeboarding or snowboarding.
