Thin Provisioning

A method of optimizing the utilization of available storage by allocating disk space on an as-needed basis, rather than allocating the total capacity upfront. This allows for more efficient use of storage resources and helps to defer capital expenditures. Panzura CloudFS appliances can be configured to use thin provisioning for their local cache.
