Replication Factor

The number of copies of data maintained in a distributed system to ensure fault tolerance. Panzura CloudFS effectively has a replication factor of at least two, with one copy on the local cache and another authoritative copy in the cloud. Cloud providers themselves offer additional redundancy within their object storage services.
