If the numbers are anything to go by, then our recent growth of 237% in customer subscription revenue, and the 164% jump in customer’s global cloud file growth, is a clear sign that customers around the world are increasingly turning to real-time cloud file collaboration solutions for their distributed teams.
At Panzura we are today empowering productivity by helping our customers address some of their most pressing concerns – real-time collaboration with virtual teams, business continuity, and data security. Further, these numbers also indicate that enterprises are backing the cloud, and these efforts are maturing as tools are now needed to support a more aggressive and pervasive use of cloud technologies.
An increase in subscriptions is significant as it stands as a validation that the market is upping their consumption of a technology. In our case, it is increased demand for our global cloud file system and AI data management solutions. Much of this growth can also be attributed to the worldwide push to foster improved global collaboration amongst distributed and virtual teams.
Simply put, traditional methods where companies stored data on expensive disks, bought more disk to store more data, and onto which they would replicate or back up this data, are gone. Not only are the costs of this model untenable, but by its very nature, it throttles collaboration – because it is inflexible and unscalable.
Putting a Stake in EMEA
Despite the naysayers highlighting that in EMEA IT spending would be curtailed, along with innovation and IT investment, we upped our focus in the region in 2019. This has resulted in an increase of 250% in the aggregate data capacity of Panzura’s EMEA enterprise customers. This is despite Brexit and negative socio-economic factors in some EU regions.
Our solution is an ideal fit for customers in regions with offices, spread across multiple geographies, and diverse teams. Just take a look at Premier Foods in the UK and AFRY, a Swedish global engineering, design, and advisory company. Both are realizing an average 70-80% cost saving and 90% reduction in on-site storage requirements over and above the soft benefits of having teams connected to the same data, at the same time, no matter the cloud, the site, or the geography.
How Did We Get Here?
Some highlights of our team’s tireless commitment to making 2019 a success include:
- The release of Panzura CloudFS8, delivering real-time global cloud file collaboration capabilities, multi-cloud mirroring and business continuity, military-grade security, and massive scalability to accommodate enterprises’ ever-expanding file data, which is doubling on average every two years.
- The launch of Vizion.ai, our sophisticated, AI-powered global visualization, indexing, search, IP protection, and data analytics service for all data in the data center and a multi-cloud environments.
- An ever-changing channel strategy, including the signing of a strategic reseller agreement with IBM, and announcing a partnership with Intel to bring Vizion.ai to our customers and channel partners.
None of this would have been possible if we didn’t put our customers are the very heart of all things. Not only do we look to deliver superior customer service, but we focus on creating exceptional customer experiences – evidenced in our net- promoter score of 82, well above the software and data storage industry average, which is only 28.
Looking ahead, Panzura is gearing up for another bumper year. As we help our customers face the unique challenges, 2020 has already put in our path, where remote working, global collaboration, and the cloud are key technology factors that will help businesses keep the lights on.
