Panzura Multi-Site File Services can be deployed on top of existing NFS-based capacity you already own, or you can leverage private or public clouds.
The Panzura Cloud Storage Controller is a high-performance appliance deployed at each site where common access to the Multi-Site File System is desired. The controller performs two main functions:
- Delivers high-performance local access to the Multi-Site File System
- Securely stores, protects, and transports information to and from the core data repository
Each Panzura Cloud Storage Controller is engineered with redundant components to ensure uptime. Information stored on the controller is RAID 6 protected locally and additionally stored in the core network. Power supplies and fans are redundant. Drives are hot-swappable. And since the controllers scale-out, access to data remains intact even in the unlikely event of an entire controller failure.
Panzura offers different models and configurations of the Cloud Storage Controller in order to support differing workload requirements and site sizes. These models and configurations can be mixed within a single Multi-Site File System, allowing flexible designs that place performance where it is needed, without any restrictions in access to data since all controllers present the same file system view.
